Description of Work:

New Jersey/New York – Hurricane Sandy was being called Superstorm Sandy by the time it hit the east coast of New Jersey and New York on October 29, 2012 as a post-tropical cyclone with hurricane force winds. When it made land fall it was the largest Atlantic hurricane on records and measured by diameter 1,100 miles. It affected 24 states including the entire eastern seaboard. Storm surge flooded lower Manhattan, filling the subway system and power grids in that area. First Response deployed 12 members of the Large Loss team on October 27 responding to 20 losses covering a 336 mile radius
