Ice Dams occur when temperatures drift between 10 and 30 degrees Fahrenheit. An ice dam is a ridge of ice that forms at the edge of a roof and prevents melting snow (water) from draining off the roof. The water that backs up behind the dam can leak into a structure causing tea-colored stains on walls and ceilings and destroying wallboard, plaster and insulation. First Response and our Water Damage Specialists are expertly trained and ready to begin the water removal and structural drying services immediately. This is crucial in order to prevent further damage such as mold and other costly structural repairs. We are ready to serve you all throughout the holidays and every day of the year, 24 hours a day!
