Our Corporate History

For decades we have served thousands of satisfied customers and clients. The Sergio Corporation began as a small, family-owned business in 1980 in the Midwest. Founder Tony Sergio established the early service businesses with a true entrepreneur’s vision. Always provide excellent customer service and take care of their needs. Later he was joined in the business by his brother-in-law Al Scott and also by his brother Joseph Sergio. The strategic direction of the company changed with the focused initiative to establish First Response as an elite national full-service disaster restoration company and network.

As the company grew it was recognized as the regional Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year in 2001. Then as the First Response Restoration Network of restoration contractors and specialty service vendors grew along with the local, regional and national client base, the company was recognized with the prestigious “Phoenix Award for Innovation in Restoration” by the National Institute of Disaster Restoration in 2004. In 2005, First Response was mobilized by one of the largest transportation corporations in the United States to respond to 100 damaged facilities in two states by the worst natural disaster in U.S. History– Hurricane Katrina.

Today, the national award-winning company First Response remains one of the elite restoration companies in America providing a wide range of restoration services to local, regional and national clients in the continental U.S. First Response works with over 100 insurance companies and is a preferred provider for many of them. First Response serves high profile clients like the University of Notre Dame, Mutual Bank, CSX, McDonalds, Walmart, and the Kentucky Derby Museum at Churchill Downs to name a few, as well as individual residential and commercial clients who need fast, cost-effective help. It still functions with the same entrepreneurial vision to provide the highest quality service to customers and clients at the lowest cost possible.
